Welcome to the Aiki Shoshinkai Website and thank you for your interest in aikido!

The Aiki Shoshinkai was established in 1994 as an organization to promote the growth of aikido by providing the communities of North Eastern Illinois and South Eastern Wisconsin with accessible, professional instruction and high quality training in a traditional environment.

The Aiki Shoshinkai offers instruction in the traditional aikido arts at beginning, intermediate and advanced programs of study with rank certification administered through standardized tests. All classes are conducted by nationally certified instructors. Additionally participation in seminars, workshops and demonstrations is provided.

As of September 2006, the only classes that are being held are a beginners/intermediate class at Libertyville High School.  This class is being held on Monday and Wednesday evenings from 7:00 to 9:00. Please click on this link for more information or to register:  Community Education
